Newfren has focused its activities on the research of the most appropriate friction material to obtain a better transmission of the torque  and has produced special products such as dry clutch for Ducati SBK World Championship.

 

The friction plates of the SBK set have been produced with an innovative sintered material and the core plate has been modified using a high-carbon steel.

 

Our “SR” racing friction plate sets were introduced for use by riders taking part in World Championships. They have been used and tested over a long period on the most difficult tracks, and have made their own contribution to numerous victories in the most important National and International competitions. Thanks to the “paper friction” material used, our racing friction plate sets have unique characteristics and outstanding performance, even under the most difficult circumstances. The material contains no cork or rubber, which means these plates do not suffer from stickiness or Slip, and have very predictable performance. As a result, all the power of the engine is transmitted to the rear wheel. Newfren recommends very strongly that new clutch plates should be soaked for at least a couple of hours.
