Details
SM7 Dasher HelmetThe SM7 helmet is engineered for off-road racing combining impact protection and comfort. Outer shell composite construction is lightweight and durable. Outer shell's aerodynamic profile has been designed reduce friction on impact, allowing deflection and the most efficient transfer of energy to protect the rider's head from direct force, referred to the neck and spinal column. Thanks to 20 individual intake and exhaust ports, not including the eye port, with 13 intakes and 8 exhausts this helmet is ultra-ventilated. Patented visor detaching system is engineered to automatically detach visor from the shell when subjected to an impact energy greater than 15 joules for optimum impact protection, regardless of the direction. Alpinestars patented Plasma technology is strategically-integrated into the SM7's side pads for high performance shock absorption in critical area to reduce the risk of injuries significantly. Linings are removable and washable. The Cheek Pads are fitted 3D foam, with an emergency extraction system (ERS), with a channel for hydration tube installation. Cheek pads are interchangeable among all sizes. Crown Pad and the Neck Pad are elastically connected, for better oblique impact management. Top Pad is removable and adjustable in height thanks to the A-head system. Chin strap is fitted with a 25 mm width nylon strap, stainless steel DD rings, removable covers for washing purpose. Shell sizing solution ensures each helmet fit size has its own appropriate shell size to deliver the most anatomical fit. Three different helmet shell sizes M, L and XL, and 6 consumer sizes from XS to XXL to ensure correct fit. Improving comfort, effectiveness of the helmet in an impact and reducing overall weight. Fit can further be customized via Alpinestars genuine replacement cheekpads available in all thicknesses and are exchangeable between all shell sizes. Both sides have integrated channels to accommodate hydration system. Communication system compatible thanks to cutaway section on the left-side of the EPS to seamlessly accommodate Intercom Systems, with earphone recesses on both sides for speakers.
